SSID

To change your SSID or WIFI Password for your CNpilot router, please follow the small tutorial below.
Please note that by default, your current SSID should be the account holders last name along with the last 8 digits of your routers MAC address
See Example below
MAC 0004560581B9 your new Password will be 560581B9
Reminder this is just sample
please see the bottom of your
router for the correct SSID
Step 1. Plug a laptop or a desktop directly into the router port in any open "LAN" port, these are indicated as being Yellow on the router.
Step 2. Open a web browser and simply type mywifi.net
Step 3. Input the Customer login information which is all lowercase (Picture 1)
user name = useradmin
password = admin
Step 4. From here you will see a page that will allow you to change your SSID and PASSPHRASE, Clicking on the "+" sign will add another SSID to be used as well. NOTE: For users with dual band routers, you will need to do this for both Frequencies. If Applicable, you will see both the 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz options.
Step 5. Once you have made the changes, click "Apply" and "Reboot" for the changes to take effect.
ADDED FEATURE !!!!!
There is a "Parental Control" Switch that when you press will allow you to put in a custom DNS server and restrict what SSID is effected, This way you can make an SSID for your children or guests and ensure they are not using the internet for purposes you do not wish them to.
Need a custom or restricted DNS to use instead of 8.8.8.8 (google) or 1.1.1.1(fast.com)
While there are lots of DNS options, I would recommend visiting the following link for more information. https://www.opendns.com/home-internet-security/
Step 6. After you reboot the router and verify changes are in effect, please shoot us an email or a call letting us know that you have changed it. We sometimes do updates to the routers and some of these can default the SSID and password back to its default above. To avoid having to input your information again, we can save the new information as a template and when we do upgrade will retain your current settings.
If you have any problems or issues always feel free to shoot us a call.
